Meet Scott Galpin

Scott has been in credit and lending for over 25 years and comes to RMA from Invis. Scott is recognized as being a leader in mortgage brokering throughout Ontario South West and has been rewarded and recognized throughout his career for his achievements.

An avid hockey fan, you can usually find Scott cheering on the London Knights at most of their home games.

Meet David De Neire

Real Mortgage Associates Inc is excited and pleased to announce the addition of David De Neire to the team as a Senior Mortgage Professional. David comes to our organization with 12 years of industry experience, spending the majority of that time as a Mortgage Specialist with RBC and as a Sales Director with a non-conforming lender. David's track record and reputation in the industry makes his addition to our team of experienced Mortgage Professionals a perfect and obvious choice as he places the customer's needs and priorities first and foremost when customizing mortgages for his clients.

David will be based out of the Oakville marketplace.

Meet Sonia Panesar

Sonia Panesar has been in banking since 1988. She began her career with CIBC and eventually became a Mortgage Specialist with CIBC Mortgages (now HLC) in 1997. In 2000, Sonia became one of the first brokers at the start-up of Invis in Ontario. Renowned for her super-service, most of Sonia's current mortgage business is referrals from her past clients.

Cooking and entertaining friends and family are past-times that allow Sonia to relax and unwind from the mortgage business.

Meet Gord Brown

Gord entered the mortgage industry as a road rep for Royal Trust in 1977 and became a mortgage broker in 1991. Gord joins RMA after 10 years with Crescent Mortgage Corp. Consistently a Top Producer with his previous employer Gord is most proud of the fact that his son Tim, has joined him as a consultant to help the thousands of past clients that are now referring their sons and daughters for financing.

When he is not doing deals or coaching his team members, Gord's time is spent reading, listening to music and time with the family with several trips to the Caribbean every year.

Meet Mark Rossides

Mark Rossides has spent the last 13 years in credit and lending and joins RMA from Mortgagebrokers.com, in Ottawa. According to Mark, “The mortgage brokerage industry in Ottawa needed a shake up. The choices of broker firms in Ottawa are limited and none of them offer the type of value, senior consultants are seeking in a broker firm. The RMA model represents a refreshing change that will inject a much needed "fire", in to the industry, in our region.”

In addition to his experience in the mortgage industry, Mark brings with him a superb team of consultants that are the envy of the Ottawa market. Mark usually likes to relax by spending time with his family. He would also like to extend an invitation to lenders to join him in his other passion: GOLF!!!

Meet Paul Whatmore

Paul Whatmore has been in the mortgage brokerage industry for over 30 years and has been the broker owner of Mortgage Concepts Inc., for the past 20 years. His tenure in our industry affords Paul the luxury of having thousands of clients that keep him busy with their own renewals along with new mortgage business from their friends and relatives. Having many industry designations to his name, Paul has also served as the president of the OMBA (now IMBA) and continues to be actively involved in developing standards for the mortgage broker industry

In his spare time, Paul enjoys spending time with his grandsons and building model railroads.

Meet Vas Anton

Born in Romania, Vas Anton immigrated to Canada in 1990 and obtained his BMath and BEd designations from University of Waterloo and University of Western Ontario, respectively. Having spent 2 years teaching Math and Computer Studies, Vas, entered real estate as owner of Majestic Homes, a custom home builder in the Kitchener/Waterloo area and simultaneously, the finance world with Laurentien Bank.

Not being shy of hard work, Vas has dedicated himself to continued growth and development. His accomplishments include:

• an award winning mortgage portfolio in Kitchener/Waterloo,
• teaching and growing a successful team of consultants in K/W
• completed his Broker Designation studies.

Hard to believe Vas has only been in Canada for 17 years! Vas joins RMA from Invis.

Meet Alka Shekhar

Alka Shekhar has been in banking and lending for the past 17 years and joins RMA from Invis. Having begun her career with CIBC, Alka grew and managed client investment portfolios collectively worth over $70 million. She achieved "Senior Financial Advisor- Imperial Service" status and the prestigious, President's Club status, at CIBC.

Alka's mortgage portfolio consists mainly of referrals from her satisfied clients. A true testament to the superior levels of service she delivers over and over again.

Accomplished in the art of Indian music, Alka performs at various social events in the Indian community. Traveling, reading and movies are other hobbies that help her relax from the day to day of the mortgage business.

Meet Stewart MacDonnell

Stewart MacDonnell has been in mortgage lending for 15 years and comes to RMA from Invis. Stewart's customer-driven, service-focused approach to mortgage brokering has won him many clients and referral sources over the years. Establishing and maintaining a successful client servicing system has rewarded Stewart and his team as they were recognized as the #1 mortgage originating team in Ontario South West by his previous broker firm.

Residing in London with his wife Kristin and daughters Emily and Bridget, Stewart enjoys playing hockey and golf to relax away from the mortgage business.

Meet John Harker

John Harker has been in banking and lending for over 15 years and joins RMA from Mortgage Intelligence. A thorough knowledge of residential and commercial mortgages has allowed John to serve the mortgage requirements of Brantford very well.

Born and raised in Brantford, John gives back to his community with his 20 years of effort on behalf of the Brantford Minor Hockey Association, teaching the local “Learn To Skate” program, sponsoring a Minor Atom “A” Team and involvement in the Wayne Gretzky Tournament Committee. In John’s own words… “I guess I’m hockey crazy”.

Meet Rita Tkach

Rita Tkach has been in banking & lending for over 10 years and has been a mortgage consultant for the past 6 years. A savvy business person, Rita focuses her efforts on the Russian community, her natural market, and has gained a fantastic reputation for delivering high levels of service. Currently, her business strategy includes providing "one-stop shopping" for financial services and is including other service providers to her team. Rita is one of the most sought after mortgage consultants in her community and is leveraging her success by growing a team of junior consultants. A lover of the "Outdoors" Rita spends her recreational time with her kids and enjoys fishing.

Rita joins us from Mortgage Alliance where she was one of their top performers in the Thornhill / Richmond Hill market.

Meet Gurdev Singh

Six years ago, Gurdev Singh was in Avionics working with Bombardier Aeronautics. However, his hobby was investment planning and research. His friends and relatives kept consulting Gurdev about financial matters and continually asking his advice on mortgages. Well, 5 years ago Gurdev decided to enter the mortgage brokerage industry and get paid for the advice he was giving out. Gurdev joined Invis in 2002 and quickly rose to the top achieving "Rookie Of The Year" status and eventually the Top Producer honours on his team in GTA west.

Gurdev's household is a busy one these days as he is a new father to a baby boy. Also his new junior consultant is off to a flying start with several deals on the books in the first 30 days.

Gurdev joins RMA from Invis.

Meet Zaitun Esmail

Zaitun Esmail has been in banking & lending for the past 8 years and a mortgage consultant for the past 5 years. Residing in Oakville, Zaitun works hard to ensure that "client satisfaction" is not simply the "buzz word of the day". When she's not servicing her clients, golfing, hiking, reading, gardening and painting are Zaitun's favourite past-times.

Zaitun joins RMA from Home Loans Canada.

Meet Jane Barrow

Jane Barrow entered the mortgage brokerage industry in 2000 and built her mortgage business on the Internet, marketing to the sub-prime client. Providing great service to the sub-prime client and continually marketing to them after they have closed, is paying dividends for Jane. Now Jane's new business is comprised of her past, sub-prime clients converting their mortgages to "A" lenders.

One of the most organized individuals, in addition to managing her own mortgage portfolio, Jane manages the payroll process for RMA. For relaxation, Jane enjoys gardening and is an avid reader. She has been a member of the "Book Babes Book Club" for the past 10 years. Jane joins RMA from Invis.

Meet Jacqueline Richards

Jacqueline Richards is past Co-Chair of Canadian Women in Communication (National Capital Region) and Facilitator for Women Moving Forward. As Chair for the Eastern Ottawa Chamber of Commerce and new author of Yoga for Your Personal Finances, Jacqueline is a businesswoman and a Group Fitness and Hatha Yoga Instructor. Jacqueline brings leadership skills, business excellence and a strong volunteer spirit to the Board of the Eastern Ottawa Chamber of Commerce.

Jacqueline began her mortgage financing career as a Business Development Manager with Scotiabank. Several years ago, Jacqueline moved in to the broker world with first opening a Summit Mortgages and focused on business development for "Mortgages for Women" in the Ottawa Valley. She is a mortgage specialist committed to helping people grow their personal and business financial endeavors, by providing the advice necessary to realize financial and real estate goals. She always appreciates an opportunity to discuss a win-win partnership. Jacqueline joins RMA from Mortgage Alliance.

Meet Elaine Carter

Elaine Carter and her husband Darrin Miller have believed in the "Total Financial Wellness Centre" approach to client service, for many years. In 1991, Elaine began financial planning and over the years added insurance services, mutual funds and mortgage brokerage to the mix. Jointly, they own and operate Totally Diversified Financial Services Inc. (TDFS) in Brantford, Ontario. TDFS now has over 20 financial planners and agents under it's umbrella. As a logical extension of the TDFS brand and philosophy, Darrin is also part owner of Diversified Realty GMAC, in Brantford.

A well balanced lifestyle is high on Elaine's list of priorities. When Elaine is not working, she enjoys, skiing, swimming, traveling, camping, fishing and gardening. Add 4 young kids to the mix and the completion of 9 courses of the Mortgage Broker education, Elaine's days are filled to capacity. Elaine Carter joins RMA from Mortgage Alliance.

Meet Boyd Dunleavey

Boyd Dunleavey, has been in the mortgage industry for the past 6 years and joins RMA from the Mortgage Centre. Originally from Vancouver, Boyd traveled extensively in his youth and coincidentaly met his wife Denise (a Canadian) while living in Australia. Once married, Boyd and Denise moved back to Canada and eventually relocated to London, Ontario to raise a family.

With a growing mortgage business that now includes junior consultants and a growing family, finding spare time is difficult. However, when he does get some time off, Boyd and his family spend time involved in organizing activities for his church.

Meet Mandy Szucs

Mandy Szucs started her career in the financial services industry in 1996 and has worked as an underwriter with MCAP & GE Capital. Years of underwriting have given Mandy the skills to thoroughly analyze a client's financial circumstances and determine the best possible way to present an application to a lender. Now as a Senior Mortgage Consultant with RMA, Mandy has grown a team of junior consultants and recently added her husband Tom (previously a BDO for a lender) as a consultant to her team.

Mandy is also a founding member of Xposay, a womens networking group in Oakville / Burlington. In her spare time she enjoys cooking and reading. Mandy joins RMA from Intracap Financial.

Meet Carmen Campagnaro

Carmen Campagnaro has extensive hands on experience in not only the facilitation of the funds, as well the acquisition of several real estate investment projects. Carmen Campagnaro has been involved in investing from the age of 18. She has been successfully involved in assignments, condo conversions, severances, development projects, currently owning over 200 units of her own in Ontario.

Carmen shares all her own positive and negative experiences with her clientele, therefore avoiding the traditional and costly "learning through experience" process.

Meet Carmen Yuzpe

Carmen Yuzpe has been a mortgage consultant since 2000. Carmen was one of the original mortgage consultants when Invis opened up in Ontario. While at Invis, Carmen was a multi-award winner for mortgage volume production and life insurance sales in Ontario South West.

"I was tired of leaving all that volume bonus money on the table with my previous firm. I prefer to make MY own decisions about how I spend MY money to grow MY business. The RMA model is perfectly set up to let me control my business", said Carmen.

Residing in London, Ontario, Carmen enjoys traveling and golf as relaxation from the mortgage business and joins RMA from Invis.

Meet Ishan Dhanapala

Ishan Dhanapala has been in lending for the past 6 years. Initially entering the mobile mortgage business with Home Loans Canada, Ishan quickly recognized the value of providing his clients with choices for their mortgage requirements. He joined a Mortgage Centre franchise in Mississauga and worked on learning the business and eventually building a team of junior consultants.

In his spare time, Ishan enjoys watching movies, playing soccer, cricket, squash, and spending time with the family. Ishan and his team of consultants comes to RMA from the Mortgage Centre.

Meet Chuck Foster

Chuck Foster entered the banking and lending world 30 years ago with Royal Bank. In addition to having achieved his designations as a Certified Financial Planner and the Canadian Securities Course, Chuck amassed a large clientele who sought his advice and guidance with regards to investments and mortgages. Chuck retired from the Royal Bank after 28 years and began working as a mortgage consultant with the Mortgage Centre in London.

"Referrals from my past clients have kept me busy right from the start of my mortgage consulting career. I look forward to increasing that flow of business with RMA" said Chuck.

Married for 31 years, Chuck has 3 daughters and enjoys skiing and cycling as hobbies.Chuck joins RMA from The Mortgage Centre.

Meet Huong Vu

Having started, built, managed and sold many businesses in the past, Huong Vu is the consummate entrepreneur. In 2004, Huong decided to take on the challenge of the mortgage brokerage industry and serve the Vietnamese community. Utilizing her superior marketing skills, detailed product knowledge and a service-focused approach to business, in just three years, Huong has managed to establish herself as the "go to" person for mortgage services in her community. A large portion of Huong's business is referrals from past clients: a testament to the high levels of service she provides her clients. Huong is now regarded as the #1 mortgage consultant to the Vietnamese community in Ontario and is featured in all the publications targeted to the community.

For relaxation, Huong and her 3 kids enjoy singing and playing the piano. Huong and her team of consultants joins RMA from the Mortgage Centre.

Meet Jeff Harrison

Jeff Harrison has been in banking and lending for 16 years. Jeff began his banking career as a teller and eventually became a regional manager with TD Canada Trust.

Several years ago, Jeff entered the mortgage broker world with Mortgage Intelligence in Ottawa. With his extensive banking experience and contacts, Jeff�s broker business grew at a fast pace. Two years ago, Jeff moved from MI to Mortgagebrokers.com (MBDC). During his tenure with MBDC, Jeff joined forces with Mark & Jennifer Rossides, and decided to open a broker firm of their own. Their research of the various franchise options available eventually led them to RMA.

Meet Dawn Blainey

Prior to becoming a mortgage professional, Dawn Blainey was a Human Resources training and development consultant. During her 10 year HR career, Dawn helped countless people attain employment. Five years ago, Dawn entered the mortgage business with Mortgage Alliance.

Dawn's family time is spent with her two sons, Ryan and Eric. Dedicated to living a healthy lifestyle, She is an avid skiier, swimmer and speed walks on a daily basis. She is also a strong advocate of "The Secret" and shines a positive light on every day life. Dawn and her team comes to RMA from Personal Choice Mortgages.

Meet Rajeev Talwar

After spending 20 years in Sales & Marketing in India, Germany, U.K. and Canada, Rajeev Talwar joined Home Loans Canada (HLC) 5 years ago, as a Mortgage Specialist. Having obtained the necessary underwriting skills, combined with his background in marketing, Rajeev quickly rose within the ranks to one of HLC's top performers, in GTA West. In the summer of 2006, Rajeev joined the Mortgage Centre.

Rajeev's strong belief in "Past Client Marketing" has served him very well. Rajeev has managed to develop his database of past clients into referral sources. His client base referrals now represent over 40% of his annual volumes.

To relax, Rajeev plays the piano and harmonium and on occasion provides live performances of Indian music. He has traveled almost half of the world for business and pleasure. Rajeev comes to RMA from the Mortgage Centre.
